ABELÉ 1757 x LE TANNEUR : Birth of an artisanal Collaboration

19 December 2023

Founded in 1757, Maison Abelé stands as the fifth oldest Champagne House. Established in 1898, Le Tanneur designs and crafts noble and essential bags and accessories. Both these worlds share the common mission of taking time: meticulously crafting cuvées or leather goods that endure through generations. In our fast-paced lives, where time is often neglected, it is crucial to give life to the most beautiful stories. It is essential for envisioning and creating all these lovely things born of passion, love, and beauty. Abelé 1757 and Le Tanneur converge around this universal value—the essence of time and a shared creation. For the first year, the two house will offer a set of artisanal creation.

Fusion of Expertise to Honor French Craftsmanship through a unique artisanal creation

These two heritage entities have come together around a timeless everyday item: the creation of a small leather goods article, a leather cardholder bearing the signature of both Houses. Abelé 1757 Brut, preserving its style, enhances this proposal in an exquisite box. This gift, suitable for giving or receiving, has been designed in an everlasting style.

The craftsmanship for both a great champagne and a leather good remains a task of great precision, with special attention to raw materials and finishes.

Abelé 1757 Brut, Distinguished and energising

Elaborated with the three Champagne grape varieties—Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay—Abelé 1757 Brut is the Maison’s signature cuvée. It expresses the typical indulgence of Champagne wines through a complex and intense aromatic profile.

Abelé 1757 Brut surprises with its maturity and a wide range of flavors: acacia honey, fresh almonds, and red fruits. The finish is enveloping, revealing fleeting and enticing notes of red currant and elderberry, complementing the invigorating aromatic palette of this cuvée.

An immediate pleasure wine, Brut Abelé is equally suitable for an aperitif or as a talented companion to a meal.

An ode to the passing of time…

Time is the ally of this collaboration. It is destined to unveil other creations with the desire to make the artisanal craftsmanship of these two Houses a bridge between the present and the future.
